Potato growers and fans of the traditional Rhodopes product will meet on 28 and 29 October in Chepelare. Then is held the Potato Fest. In both days you can buy a variety of dishes and souvenirs based on potatoes. Unlike other similar exhibitions, the municipality does not forget that the producers have organized a kind of exchange where you can buy potatoes for the winter or for your menu if you are an hotelier or a restaurant.

Between 12 o’clock and 3 p.m., on October 28, the youngest will learn to cook delicious potato dishes and make different attractive souvenirs from them. The producers will be able to learn more of the most dangerous pests for potatoes and what are the best ways to fight them at 2 p.m. in the meeting room of the Chepelare municipality. Then they can learn what are the obstacles to the maintenance and seed production of potatoes.

From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Olympic Square guests of Chepelare will be able to enjoy the appearances of local and guest ensembles and singers. After that, games are planned for both small and large, as well as attractive dishes called “Granny cooks in the middle of the square”. The exhibition of potato dishes and products will continue on October 29 at 11 a.m. In the program follow games for children and grown-ups and large performances of local and guest ensembles. At 12.30 p.m .the best singers, dancers, and exhibitors will be awarded.
