With ice cream from pumpkin oil, pumpkin soup with ginger foam and cinnamon, as well as mousse from pumpkin and apples will feast the guests of the Sevlievo Pumpkin Festival, top chef, André Tokev this year. After preparing dishes for US President Bill Clinton, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, actors such as Val Kilmer and Jean Claude Van Dam, the culinary chef will present his recipes to the audience in Sevlievo.
This will happen on the last day of the pumpkin festival – Oct. 15 at 11 a.m. André Tokev will also judge the participants in the culinary exhibition “Pumpkin Temptations”. The holiday in Sevlievo, which is part of the day of the city, will start on October 12th. A fun workshop and exhibition “Pumpkin fantasies” are scheduled for 3 p.m. on the first day of the event. The program of the festival continues with the opening of the exhibitions of pumpkin works and awarding prizes for the biggest pumpkin and for the most creative fantasy in the making of a pumpkin work.
After that, children from the kindergartens in Sevlievo will make the show “The Pumpkin Tale”. The first fest of the festival will end with a concert of Krisia and the folk singer Radostina Panyova. On October 13, at 6 p.m. on the fair, the audience will rejoice with their songs Gloria.
October 14th, when Sevlievo celebrates the city’s feast, will start with a celebration for Petkovden. At 11 o’clock at the Liberty Square in the city, performers from Spain will perform. In front of the guests and the residents of the city will appear Dansart Del Real City, which will present traditional Spanish dances. The program is followed by the songs and the hot flamenco of Coro Rosiero, the Cuban-American rhythms of the Caribbean of Los Guaracheros and the presentation of traditional dances from the world by the Aswat Mundi group.
Then for the audience will dance from “Gracia” Club, Kazanlak. At noon, you can learn the finesse of flamenco, Indian dances, latino dance and Zumba in special workshops. At 2 p.m. begin the lessons of on-air yoga and the traditions of Chinese crafts. You will also be able to attend a tea ceremony and learn how to turn a poi. At 5 p.m. is the beginning of the dancing fiesta.
During the day you will be able to hear the folk singer Ivan Diakov. At 7 p.m. is the beginning of a show program with Nencho Balabanov. Then the prizes from the festive lottery will be withdrawn and the evening will continue with a concert program. The performers include Kalin Velyov, Vesela Morova, Amazonia Dance Project, and the groups Konkurent and Vakali. The evening will end with a festive firework. At night the museums and galleries in the city will work and the entrance will be free of charge.
The feast on October 15th will close chef André Tokev with his culinary reviews and fiesta. Then the audience will be able to have a bite from the longest, record holder „tikvenik“ /traditional dessert made from pumpkin. It will be made from 63 kilograms of baking barks, 120 kilos of pumpkin, 21 kilograms of sugar, 16 kilos of walnuts, 22 liters of oil, 12 kilos of powdered sugar, half a pound of vanilla and 200 grams of cinnamon.
