Resort Bansko plans to prolong the Winter ski season

Marketing Director of the concessionaire of Bansko ski area  Ulen commented that the Winter ski season can be longer if there is an interest from tourists. According to the original plans the tourist season in the winter resort had to be till April 6, but in the last few days in the resort there is 80 sm snow cover. In this moment there are a lot of foreign tourists in Bansko: Russians, Britains, Jews, Greeks, Swedish, Dutch, Danes, Romanians and the Norwegians. This week a ski competition will take place in Bansko. From 10.03.14 to 15.03.14 representatives of 10 banks will be compete on a ski slope “Tomba” to celebrate the 135 anniversary of the Bulgarian National Bank. The event will be attended by five-time winner of the World Cup ski Marc Ghirardelli. Next year Bansko will host two starts of the World Cup for  women and European Cup for men. Welcome to Bansko!
