SANTA MARINA HOLIDAY VILLAGE WITH “PRIX D’EXCELLENCE AWARD” FROM FIABCI’s
Santa Marina Holiday Village is the first Bulgarian winner of the prestigious award FIABCI Prix d’Excellence Golden Winner, also known as the Oscars in the real estate industry. The holiday village in Sozopol was distinguished with the golden statuette in the “Resorts” category at an official award giving ceremony on May 21st in Luxembourg. The international competition for architecture and successful projects FIABCI Prix d’Excellence distinguishes functional projects from around the world on a variety of criteria, including their design/concept, implementation/realization, contribution to the environment, public benefit and social significance. Projects awarded in 60 countries compete for the exclusive recognition, divided into 13 categories. Winner selection is performed in two stages and the selection continues for seven months. After Santa Marina Holiday Village became “Project of the Year” in 2013 the competition of the local organization’s branch, the project received the right to compete for the top prize in its category on an international level. In 2014 the real estate Oscars were awarded for the 23rd time. According to FIABCI, the winning projects best illustrate the philosophy of the organization, namely to provide “optimal solution to society for its real estate needs”. The international jury of experts in real estate chooses the winners based on their evaluation of the overall project and its success, making the award one of the highest, which a project can receive.
