Throughout March, you have the chance to see the personal weapons of some of Bulgaria’s brightest individuals in Burgas. From 1st to 31st of March in the Cultural Center “Sea Casino” you will be able to see the sword of Hristo Botev, the knife of Vasil Levski and the soldier’s knife, called tessak, of Zahari Stoyanov. The exhibition is organized on the occasion of the national holiday of Bulgaria on March 3rd, and the entrance will be completely free of charge.

The opening is scheduled for 6 pm on March 1st. Besides the weapons in the exhibition presented by the Municipality of Burgas and the National Museum of Military History, with the cooperation of RIM-Burgas, documents and works of art are collected, reflecting the last, the most difficult steps towards the Liberation.

Among the weapons, you can shoot are the sabres of Velcho Atanasov and Hristo Ivanov, the pistols of Dimitraki Petrovich, Ilyo Voyvoda and Panayot Hitov, the musket of Captain Dyado Nikola. For the events of the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-1878 will “witness” paintings by Vereshchagin, Vasnetsov, Manizer, Pollenov and other artists.
