The ski lift in Bansko open on December 3. Some of the slopes in the resort will also be open. So the fans of the white sports can enjoy the 75 cm of snow. The official opening of the season in the resort will be on 17 December when all the slopes they will be open. The star of the festival will be the Olympic champion downhill from Salt Lake City Fritz Strobl.
Until December 19 fans of skiing and snowboarding will be able to enjoy the slopes in Bansko with discount. 30 lev or approximately 15 euro will cost a ski pass per day. Throughout the season there will be discounts for families. A seasonal pass for a family with one child under 16 years costs 3,000 lev /approximately 1500 euro/, for a couple with two children under 16- 4000 lev /approximately 2000 euro/, for two parents with three children – 5000 lev /approximately 2500 euro/. And for each additional child in the family the price increases by 1000 lev or approximately 500 euro. Moreover, family and seasonal passes also provide an advantage to get on the lift.
The one-day card at the resort again will cost 58 lev for adults / approximately 29 euro /for adults. Students will pay 53 lev / approximately 26 euro / and youngsters from 7 to 12 years – 49 lev / approximately 24 euro /. The price for Half-day card that can be used after 12.30 pm will cost 45 lev for adults /approximately 22 euro/.
The resort has 75 kilometers of marked slopes and ski routes, of which 35% are for beginners, 40% for intermediates and 25% for advanced skiers.
