The four-star Spa Hotel Katarino near Razlog and Bansko now has a new owner. “Hydropower Company” from Blagoevgrad bought the complex of “Cibank.” It passed into the hands of the bank because of the financial difficulties of the investor “Balkanstroy”. The hotel doesn’t work from the spring and is expected now to reopen this winter. The buyers of the hotel already negotiating to acquire as well the villas nearby.

The hotel Spa features a thermal zone, which has indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, steam bath, Greek sauna, ice showers and Kneipp path. There is also an area for massages and beauty treatments as well as a place to relax with ceramic lounges. Before the hotel stop operating there was also a transfer for its guests  in the winter to the ski lift in Bansko.

Beyond the collection of tan by the outdoor pool in the summer, skiing in winter and pampering at the spa in Katarino was possible to ride classy horses, play tennis on one of two outdoor courts, to practice table tennis or to stroll cycling in the surroundings. It is expected that the new owners will again offer these services to the guests of the hotel.
