Stara Zagora gathers the fans of wine at Augustiada festival

Once again, the fans of good wines will meet at the Regional History Museum of Stara Zagora during the Augustiada Festival. In 2017 it will be held from 13th to 15th October in the city of Linden. At the weekend everyone will be able to taste Bulgarian wines and get to know the latest trends in the industry. The visitors’ entrance for one day costs 5 leva /approximately 2,5 euro/ and for two – 8 leva /approximately 4 euro/.

Before the exhibition, however, there is also a seminar where you can learn more about the Bulgarian wines. It will start from 9 o’clock on October 13, but visitors will be able to visit it during both festival days – Saturdays and Sundays. On 14 October, exhibitors’ stands can be viewed and their products tasted from 12 to 6 p.m. On the 15th the exhibition will be open from 11 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.

On 14th of October at 7 p.m. at Stara Zagora State Opera will be chosen the most beautiful girl – Queen Augustiada. The entrance to the competition is free of charge. During the exhibition, visitors will be able to vote for their favorite among the wines and the wineries in the first places will receive the sign of Augustiada – a replica of a Roman coin. As an extra, anyone who decides to participate in the wine tasting will also be able to look at the on-site exhibitions of the Regional Museum of History in Stara Zagora.

If you want to get acquainted with the wine of Greece, you can join a master class, which will take place at 03.30 p.m. on October 14th. The ticket price is 30 leva /approximately 15 euro/, but the pass must be purchased by 10 October. The participation in Gala Evening Augustiada at the Stara Zagora State Opera costs 60 leva/approximately 30 euro/. It will be held on October 14 at 07.30 p.m. The festival includes a VIP courier that includes a pass for the two days of the exhibition, participation in the two master classes, the presence of Gala in the evening, with the right to enter the first day one hour before the official opening. It costs 100 leva /approximately 50 euro/and must also be purchased by 10 October.
