For a first time between 3rd and 5th of September in the village of Oreshak, near Troyan will be held the Festival of Balkan music and cuisine. Near the National Exhibition of crafts will be built a stage, on which will sing and play artists from throughout the region. Among the stars that already confirmed their participation at the event are the Serbian singer Boban Zdravkovic and his Bulgarian colleague Gamzata.
During the festival there will be a competition for chefs “Balkan cuisine.” It may involve both professionals and amateurs. The categories are – typical Balkan dish and typical Balkan appetizer. The skills of the participants in the competition will be evaluated by the king of the Japanese cuisine and a judge in the TV reality “Master Chief Bulgaria” Peter Mihalchev, the owner of a restaurant and a participant in the TV show Sabin Rankov, the representative of the Bulgarian Association of Professional Chefs Elena Malcheva and one of the youngest chef- cooks in Bulgaria Yonko Dyakov.
Every day the program starts at 10 a.m. On September 3rd the festival program includes art workshops in ceramics, painting and carving, paintball competition, show program of mummers and dance ensembles and ballet “Nova”. The first night will end with a concert of the Serbian star Boban Zdravkovic.
On 4th of September will be held the culinary competition. There will be also a backgammon tournament, dance workshop, twerk show and performances of different bends. The evening ends with Jordan Yonchev- Gamzata and his band GBS.
On 5th of September 5 except a rich musical program the visitors will be able to enjoy a dance on fire. The admission for all three days of the festival is free.
