State aid in the total amount of a little over BGN 5.1 million was transferred from the Ministry of Tourism to 77 tourist companies. This is the fourth tranche of the financial support with 4 percent of the turnover of the companies without VAT for 2019. The funds must be used to compensate the consumers for unrealized trips in the period 01.03 – 31.12.2020.

The smallest amount of the payment is BGN 760, and the largest reaches BGN 1.085 million, the Ministry of Tourism announced. So far, the total funded enterprises are 473, and the funds provided to them – BGN 29,117,386.72.

The funds are allocated from the state budget and amount to a total of BGN 51 million. This is one of the measures taken by the Ministry of Tourism to support the sector to overcome the effects of COVID-19.
