If you want to submit a time travel or in other words a short voyage by steam train, you can do it on June 26. The first stop for railway lovers is Gorna Oryahovitsa, and the steam locomotive will take its passengers to Tryavna and Plachkovtsi.
The price of the return ticket is BGN 36.50 or around 18 Euro including a reserved seat in both directions. Children up to the age of 7 travel for free, but without a separate seat. As when buying tickets, a document certifying their age is required. The children under the age of 10 must travel with an escort.
The train, which will consist of six standard compartment cars and one bistro car, will lose from Gorna Oryahovitsa station at 08:40 am. After short stops at Veliko Tarnovo, Dryanovo and Tsareva Livada stations, the train will arrive in Tryavna at 10:21 am. All those who are looking will be able to continue to Plachkovtsi station to see recently the restoration in the area of the station museum exhibit of a steam locomotive and to get acquainted with interesting facts from the history of railway transport in Bulgaria.
The train, pulled by a steam locomotive, arrives at Plachkovtsi station at 10:36 am and departs for Tryavna at 12:20 pm. In this way, the trip will have enough time to see the friendly town at the foot of the Balkans, as well as to noted the church built at the beginning of the last century – St. The Prophet Elijah. The train will arrive again at Tryavna station at 12:30 pm, where it will stay until 2:49 pm. Thus, all passengers can enjoy the Revival town of Tryavna. The steam locomotive will transfer the train back to Gorna Oryahovitsa station at 4:20 p.m.
