How can a stone quarry become a place to relax with amazing panoramas? To answer this question you must visit Ecozone “Belite Skali” / The White Rocks/. It is located 20 kilometers away from Gotse Delchev, near to the village of Gaytaninovo and the complex Omaya. A hotel, a lake, and recreation areas have been built on the site of the worked only 10 years ago quarry.

The location is in the natural park of Slavyanka, in an area protected by Natura 2000. Even if you are not aware of this fact, you will be delighted by the greenery that is reflected in the lake of interesting coloured rocks and the delicious food. We recommend you to try some kind of a fish, as it is fresh and is caught from the lake.

You can choose from trout, carp, catfish, barbel, and sturgeon. If you are up to the challenge you can even catch the fish by yourself. There are also sheds and tables around the lake that make the place suitable for picnics. And as you walk around it, you will notice that there is a kingdom of mushrooms which has emerged over the trees.

Even if you decide not to stay in the hotel or houses around it, we recommend you to walk around the place because the sights are worth it. The advantage of the complex is its proximity to the White Sea in the summer and to the ski resorts of Bansko and Greek Falakro in the winter. Moreover, the region has a bunch of natural and cultural attractions to visit.

You can check them by renting a bicycle on site. Or working out by dipping into the pool during the warmer months, playing tennis and table tennis, basketball or mini golf. For the children there is a nice playground.
