Thracian Gold from Bulgaria. Legends Come Alive
This is the title of the unique exhibition that will be presented in Moscow. The exhibition is under the aegis of the Ministries of Culture of the Russian Federation and Bulgaria and will be opening in the State Historical Museum on the Red Square on September 30, 2013, at 5 p.m.
For the first time the exhibition features such a rich collection of unique finds: archaeological monuments from VIII to III century BC, funerals of supreme Thracian aristocrats and the biggest gold treasures, discovered on the territory of our country, including the Rogozen, Panagyurishte, Borovo and Letnitsa Treasures, as well as many others.
This is the first time Bulgaria presents such a rich collection of treasures outside the country. The exhibition includes more than 317 exhibits, part of the collections of seven museums, two of which private.
The opening of the exhibition will be attended by the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation – Vladimir Medinsky, the Minister of Culture of Bulgaria – Peter Stoyanovic, the Bulgarian ambassador Boyko Kotzev, as well as by Russian and Bulgarian historians.
