A new BGN 8.85 million was transferred by the Ministry of Tourism to tour operators and travel agents for payment with the clients of the companies for unrealized trips in the period from March 1, 2020 to the end of last year. This is the third tranche for companies that have been approved for the aid in the amount of 4 percent of their turnover for 2019 without VAT. So far, the total funded enterprises are 396, and the funds provided to them – BGN 24,002,293.77.
The smallest amount of the third payment, which will be transferred, amounts to BGN 240.00, and the largest reaches over BGN 1.113 million, the ministry said. The aid is granted from the state budget and amounts to a total of BGN 51 million.
The application for the measure continues, and all interested parties can submit documents for participation in the procedure by March 22, 2021. The submission of applications for state aid is done electronically by filling in a web-based application form and accompanying documents through the Management System of National Investments (NIS), at the following Internet address:
