Travel news from Bulgaria with a prize from the Ministry of Tourism

Second place won Travel News from Bulgaria ( https://travelbulgaria.news/ ) in the competition of the Bulgarian Ministry of Tourism. The site was handed a certificate by the agency. The prize winners in the 16 categories received a golden rose and a certificate, while the rest of them in the second and third places went with diplomas only. More than 100,000 people voted this year for the awards given by the ministry.

The biggest prize – the choice of the Bulgarians went to the Baba Vida fortress in Vidin. 1069 people voted for the attraction. Second place in the category won the Ancient Theater in Plovdiv with 662 votes. For the tourist attraction of the year was chosen Begliktash near Primorsko and for a tourist event – the Francofolies festival in Blagoevgrad. The prize “The Spirit of Bulgaria” went to Strelcha for the feast of the rose.

The award for specialized tourism was received by Ruslan Yordanov for the organization of the 5-star chess game under the skies in the Albena resort. Sandanski Municipality was chosen as a tourist destination of the year, and the award for innovation is for the Danube Ultra route. As the best mountain  Municipality was chosen Bansko,  best Spa – Mineral Baths, best Cultural-Historical – Plovdiv, and best Marine – Pomorie.

The award for publication in print media went to Natalia Malcheva from the newspaper Standard. The prize for television reportage was received by Zhivko Konstantinov from New Television. The radio statue was taken by radio Focus and the internet blog prize went to Julia Vukova from time2travel.bg.
