Unique for Bulgaria aquarium was opened in Plovdiv
The most plentiful freshwater aquarium in Bulgaria is now open to visitors. This unique facility is located in the Regional Natural Museum in Plovdiv. 
Presented are over 150 species of freshwater and tropical fish and over 40 species of plants from around the world. There is also and 3,000 liter saltwater aquarium. Outstanding interest are African and American cichlids, four types of piranhas, freshwater skates, lungfishes /salamanderfishes/ and cartilaginous fishes.
