A new tool with statistics from the World Tourism Organization shows how the world’s tourism sector is recovering from the unprecedented crisis caused by measures to limit the spread of COVID-19.
The instrument is the result of a partnership between international organizations and the private sector. It covers key indicators of tourism efficiency by months, regions and sub-regions, allowing real-time comparison. It includes data on international tourist arrivals, the capacity of aircraft flying domestic and international routes, flight reservations, demand and occupancy in hotels and interest in short-term property rentals.
