Competition for the most beautiful snowman and for  the largest snowball are just two of the races, which will mark the World snow day on Vitosha. The event is scheduled for January 21, and the festival will be of Mecha Polyana, near Aleko hut. Anyone who wants to participate in any of the competitions must register from 10 a.m. to 10.30  a.m. on the same day.

The most attractive competition will undoubtedly be the  downhill with mountain bikes on snow, held for the first time in Bulgaria. It will run from 12 a.m. to 1 p.m. Before that you can see the cross-country skiing and ski slalom, as the slalom will be valid as race control in determining the national teams.

The program follows with a contest for making snow figures and the largest snowball. The last race of the festival will be a contest for the best costume. During the celebration the youngest will be able to receive instructions and and improve their skills in snow sports with the help of teachers from “Vitosha ski. “

The awarding of winners in the various competitions begin at 1 p.m. Each participant under 18 years of age can use the cabin lift from Simeonovo to Aleko hut with lift pass at a symbolic price of 1 lev /approximately 50 eurocents/and deposit of 5 lev /approximately 2,5 euro/.
