If you want to look into the everyday life of Griffon Vultures, save the date 2nd September. On this date, the experts from the Nature Park Vrachanski Balkan and the Birds Protection Society organize a trip to the birds of prey habitat in the village of Dolno Ozirovo.

The enthusiasts who will join will be able to observe the Griffon Vultures in the area where the birds receive free of charge lunch and dinner. See them near the adaptation cage and flying over the rocks of Dolno Ozirovo village. The occasion for the visit is the International Vultures Day.

Anyone who wants to join must be at 8 o’clock sharp on the 2nd of September at the gathering point in the center of the village. Before you reach the Vultures, you will have to walk 8 km. Naturally, you should be dressed for the occasion, have shoes for a mountain terrain, raincoat, water, food and possibly binoculars.

Griffon Vultures are the largest birds that occur on the territory of Vrachanski Balkan Nature Park. The wingspan of their wings reaches 2, 70 meters. These species is included in the Red Book of Bulgaria and the park is one of the few places to observe Griffon Vulture in Bulgaria.
