Flying lessons Flying with paraglide, hang glider, paratrike There are many opportunities to roam the skies above Bulgarian territory and all of them are fun. Depending on the dates of your stay in Bulgaria, you can choose different types of flying, among which flying with paraglide, hang glider or paratrike. Alpine trolley In case flying is too high an experience for you, near the cave “Golubovitsa”, around the village Smilyan (15 km away from Smolyan), at the modest price of 5 leva, anyone can buy a ticket for the so called “Alpine trolley”. This is also the place where will offer you other interesting activities, such as various tourist routs, cave visits, Via Ferrata (metal route in a rock) etc. If though, you find the above adventures not enough for you, then head to the region of Lovech and especially to the village Brestnitsa. Here a whole adrenaline park awaits you. In this place you will have the opportunity to wander around at about 2 to 4 m above the ground, make a Lion jump or just walk along the two eco treks in the vicinity.

Between April and August, each Saturday and Sunday, in several places in Bulgaria, you can do a bungee jump. The cost of this thrill is between 60 and 100 leva, and the dates are fixed, and, of course, depend on the weather conditions. You can find the dates and the places for bungee jumps on most of the websites of the clubs which offer extreme activities. Hot Air Balloon Ride For the most adventurous ones and for those who want to feel like Baron Munchausen at least once,  flying with a balloon in Bulgaria is offered at the price of around 100 thousand leva, for three person ride, 1 hour flight time. Please, let’s get on the ground As magic and attractive flying and hanging can be, they are not for everyone. After the high atmospheric pressure and raised adrenaline, we are getting down on earth, though without lowering the level of extreme excitement. Off road and Safari Adventures Among the ground opportunities for high adrenaline you can choose off road or safari adventures in different places in Bulgaria, such as the Rhodopes and Velindgrad. Horse riding Horse riding tours are also a wonderful enriching experience to enjoy during your holiday in Bulgaria. All horse riding fans and everyone who are to ride a horse for the first time will be enchanted by this great combination of peculiar experience and picturesque landscapes. The tour can last one or more days with a price varying between 50 and 80 leva. Waterworld Extreme sports clubs on the territory of the country offer a variety of adventure packages, intended for mountain lovers who adore its “water” side. Rafting and kayaking Rafting, kayaking and canyoning are just a small part of the entertainment waiting for enthusiasts during their holiday in Bulgaria. If you are keen to the idea, the season to go for it, is the spring. This is the time when the rivers Arda and Struma, where the adrenaline venues take place, are most suitable. After the fresh air from the mountains and the extreme adventures along the river rapids, we are finishing with something magic. Diving Apart from the adrenaline, there’s something else that can make us fully disconnect from the surrounding world, literarily by diving in a whole new reality. Exactly this pinch of adventure that should be added to your summer holiday in Bulgaria you can find in diving. The price is between 60 and 130 leva and includes instructions as well as equipment. In the Black Sea region there is a rich choice of places to enjoy. You can also add a visit to a sunken ship to the depths exploration and meeting different sea species. This however requires not only desire but also certain amount of instruction hours.
