From June 7th to June 9th, the National Palace of Culture will host a Balkan Wine Festival. In addition to tasting over 1,000 wines from over 100 cellars, visitors will have the chance to win different prizes. The biggest one is a wine weekend for two in the five-star Uva Nestum complex near Gotse Delchev. Anyone who buys a ticket to the event can participate in a raffle for the prize.
The ticket price is 12 leva per day (approximately 6 Euro), 17 for two days (approximately 8,5 Euro) and 20 leva for three days (approximately 10 Euro). Those who share photos from the festival and collect the most likes on social media will get a collection of 6 wines awarded at the event. In addition to Bulgarian wines, you can taste drinks from Greece, Romania, Turkey, Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania and Georgia.
For the good mood of the visitors will care for Vivo Montana, Merudia, Angel Zaberski and Militsa Gladnishka. In part of the tents will be housed exquisite restaurants that will offer you combinations of food and wine. In the Golden Tent, you can taste the awarded wines from the competition. There is also a children’s play area, a pet-friendly area, a bookstore, and wine painting opportunities.
You can also attend four evening master classes. The first is dedicated to the combination of recipe and Greek appetizers. At the second you will be able to learn more about modern Turkish wines. And the latter is dedicated to the rose. The participation fee for every one of them is 50 leva (approximately 25 Euro). On the 7th of June, trophies in the categories of the competition will be handed out.
