Bansko opens winter season 2013-2014 on December 14
On December 14, Alberto Tomba will open the 2013-2014 winter season in Bansko. He will go down the track, named after him, as a start of the new season. This is not the first appearance in Bansko of the double World and triple Olympic champion. His presence at the beginning of the season starts in 2003, when he for the first time sets foot on “Banderishka meadow”.
Apart from Tomba, for the opening of the 2013-2014 winter season, several other famous names arrive in Bansko: the five-time awarded the Big Crystal Globe trophy – Marc Girardelli, who will be accompanied by the number one skier of Bulgaria for all times – Peter Popangelov. Another guest will be the unique and glorious Frenchman Luc Lafond, who not only has won the World cup, but also is the winner of the most prestigious World rally “Dakar “.
And the last, but not the least important star is the Slovenian cool guy Jure Košir, who has ended his career in 2006, after 15 seasons in the World Cup, three victories and a total of 20 winner’s podiums. Like in other years, the audience will have the opportunity to go down the ski runs in Bansko, together with the legendary skiers.
