The low cost carrier Wizz Air launches new flights to Varna. Since the summer of next year the company’s aircraft will fly between Varna and the German cities Munich and Dortmund, Eindhoven in the Netherlands, Larnaca in Cyprus and Milan in Italy. The company will also increase the frequency of the flights between Varna and London from 7 to 10 per a week.
The Investment of Wizz Air in Varna airport will be about 98 million Euro. The company will open a new base there in July. There will located also an Airbus A320 aircraft with 180 seats. So far, the carrier had seven bases in Bulgaria, all at the airport in Sofia. With the opening of the new base in Varna will be provided 250 jobs for its service and 36 jobs for flight teams.
From the end of March Wizz Air starts between Sofia and Varna. The price of the ticket starts from 19.99 lev or approximately 10 euro. Another low-cost carrier operating in the country – EasyJet announced flights from Varna Airport with two new routes to London and Berlin.
